I want adventure in the great wide somewhere

I started doing a quiz. Being unable to chose Ravenclaw I stopped doing the quiz.

I was wondering how come I’ve never seen any Harry Potter music in any of the youth bands at the local music centre.

Then I realised that a band of teenagers crying isn’t going to be the key to good music.

Did I ever tell you guys about the time when I was in Durham with my family and we were looking round/killing time before we had to go back to the passport office place and we went to look around the cathedral to get out of the snow and ended up in the cloisters where they filmed Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone/Chamber of Secrets and because there was snow on the ground the courtyard looked exactly like it did when Harry took Hedwig out to fly in PS and nobody else believed me at first so we asked a lady in the bookshop and she said it was and then there was lots of excitement from everyone?

It’s things like this that remind me that being a fan of Harry Potter and living in the UK is actually pretty awesome. America, you may have Team StarKid and LeakyCon but we have the actual filming locations.

The was just a photo of the viaduct from Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets on local news as a weather photo. No biggie. Casual Harry Potter locations happen all the time.

I really love living here sometimes.

I was watching Britain’s Got Talent and Amanda Holden said to grumpy Simon:

“You need to get back in your cave Voldemort”

Someone should tell her that Voldemort doesn’t live in a cave.

So yesterday I was talking about Harry Potter with my friends for about an hour and none of them have seen AVPM/AVPS but the amount of jokes similar to the ones StarKid came up with were ridiculous and I’m sure 75% of the time it wasn’t my obsessed brain making the links.

I love the Harry Potter fandom a lot but it makes me sad that it seems that so much of it is centred in America because that’s so far away and all the cool stuff happens over there, not here in the UK (although I am very excited about the studio tour). The Philosopher’s Stone/Sorcerer’s Stone also annoys me, I’m still not sure why they changed it in the first place.
